With 100% of the proceeds going to The Angel Tree, a registered 501(c)(3) charity division of The Salvation Army that gets toys to needy children for the holidays, I have donated two copies of my 10 x 24″ artwork, entitled “Sunned Flower” for auction. This original design of mine is copy-protected, and due to its composition of metal and variegated metal plated paper, it is nearly impossible to photograph, as the lustery effect cannot be reproduced by a copy machine, scanner, photograph or monitor. The pictures show the two pieces up for auction, taken with the same camera, from the same angle, with a variety of lighting to attempt to illustrate what only your eye will see: the piece shimmers as you walk across the room, explodes when caught in ‘just the right light’, and will absorb and reflect colors differently depending on the light source, so while lots of natural light can provide a desirable look, unusually colored lights at night create interesting effects as well. These pieces come in a simple black frame specifically selected so it doesn’t distract from the enjoyment of the work, and also comes with a signed and raised-seal C.O.A. of my own making.
