or by pushing play on the video screen to the right.

                                                      Cast of Characters:

                               I    (Narrator)                   -  Someone I am.      .

The Thief of Hearts  -  Someone I am not.

Set over a lifetime of anguish and confusion.

[Narrator, alone on stage - addressing audience]

(0:03)                Have...

(0:06)                Have you ever fell...

(0:10)                Fallen down so hard, that...

(0:14)                You truly believed your whole world would...

(0:17)                come crashing down beneath the crushing weight of the teasing lure of eternal love?

(0:22)                Just to one day discover

(0:25)                the entire thing was made up in your mind..?

   [Narrator - aside to self]

(0:30)                So...Why...

(0:33)                Is it always the same damn thing?

(0:36)                Bringing me to my knees...

(0:38)                Ever since that first fateful day when I spied my lost eyes reflect deep in the light that was yours...

(0:43)                Now I can't face my fears

(0:46)                no matter how they appear

(0:48)                because I'm so afraid of

(0:50)                losing what I never seemed to have that

(0:53)                I am quietly and silently and even wildly

(0:55)                slowly going and becoming not so slightly so insane

(0:58)                a redundant, repeating, retreating, defeating refrain

(1:01)                where every single day is the same, is the same

(Enter Thief of Hearts in background, unseen)

[The Thief of Hearts - addressing audience]

(1:03)                I'm the Thief of Hearts

(1:06)                hiding in the dark

(1:08)                I said

(1:09)                I'm the Thief of Hearts

(1:11)                waiting in the dark

(1:13)                WATCH OUT!

(1:14)                I'm...Stealing all over this world, from both rich and poor,

(1:18)                I don't discriminate, where I seek out love

(1:21)                in the bleak black middle of the night or out, in broad day light.

(1:25)                It...Doesn't matter who you are - no one's safe from me

(1:29)                it's just they don't see

(1:31)                that I'm heartless and...Unrelenting and also brutal as one can be.

(1:35)                I'm the Thief of Hearts

(1:38)                reigning in the dark

(1:40)                I said

(1:41)                I'm the Thief of Hearts

(1:43)                lurking in the dark

(1:45)                WATCH OUT!

(Exit Thief of Hearts, still unseen)

   [Narrator - aside]

(1:46)                It...It seems everywhere I

(1:49)                turn I find my mind has just

(1:52)                obsessed and regressed from the stress of

(1:54)                self-coerced inevitable remorse

(Re-enter Thief of Hearts in background, unseen)

[The Thief of Hearts - addressing Narrator to himself]

(1:57)                I am a Thief of Broken Hearts

(1:59)                and I will break up everything I want

(2:02)                I am a Thief of Bleeding Hearts,

(2:04)                you better watch out for...ME...

(2:07)                I am a Thief of Lonely Hearts

(2:09)                and I will lure out anything I want.

(2:13)                I am a Thief of Misplaced Hearts

(2:15)                and I will steal away whatever I want

          (Exit Thief of Hearts)

   [Narrator - addressing audience]

(2:19)                So then I screamed out loud -

(2:21)                'I can't keep on doing this same old stupid thing,

(2:24)                Expecting some different things to start happening...'

   [Narrator - aside]

(2:28)                Now...I'm

(2:29)                raging through the scene, trying to hide the

(2:32)                fear that seems to arise when I try to

(2:34)                speak the truth that is lingering on my mind

(2:36)                when I find that I'm always and forever longing for you

(2:39)                Why do you haunt me?

(2:42)                Just because you know you can?

(2:45)                Will you ever cut me loose,

(2:46)                or will I be dragged down,

(2:47)                drowned down in the mud just like all of the rest

(2:50)                as I stick my lost head deep in the burning sand

(2:53)                and grab fistfuls with scorched, clenching hands

(2:55)                throwing land into the air,

(2:57)                in full despair,

(2:58)                burying all of myself...

(2:59)                well beyond repair

          (Enter Thief of Hearts)

[The Thief of Hearts, confronting Narrator]

(3:01)                I am the Thief of Misled Hearts

(3:03)                and I will break up anything I want!

(3:06)                I am the Thief of Broken Hearts

(3:08)                and I will take whatever I want!

   [Narrator - screaming]

(3:11)                I ---------- I

(3:14)                Wanna RUN way AWAY

(3:16)                and hide out where ever I can

(3:19)                I don't care if anything will even happen to me

(3:22)                as long as there's no more pain in store to endlessly implore someone for answers for

(3:25)                Oh wait, here I go again,

(3:27)                falling into the same old trap, into the same old trap

(3:30)                I've managed to fall into every other time before and before and...

(3:33)                Then...

(3:35)                            Clarity...

(3:38)                                          What...If...

(3:40)                I tried in vain...

(3:43)                to become alive again

(3:47)                to strive and to thrive

(3:48)                progress, not regress and take control of my soul

(3:50)                and for once command, and withstand being damned

(3:52)                thing would go as planned, maybe then, just maybe then I'll finally understand -

(3:56)                I can beat that Thief of Hearts!

(3:58)                I am positive I can!

          (Exit Thief of Hearts)

   [Narrator - addressing audience]

(4:00)                Where's that Thief of Hearts

(4:02)                hiding in the dark?

(4:04)                I said

(4:05)                Where's that Thief of Hearts

(4:07)                hiding in the dark?

(4:09)                COME OUT!

(4:11)               I'm...Taking back over my life, from the Thief of Hearts

(4:15)               because I'm over that

(4:16)               backstabbing bastard who brings only wrong things,

(4:18)               when I'm only...looking for right.

(4:21)               It...Doesn't matter who you are - you're not safe from me

(4:25)               unless that you can see

(4:28)               that I've got a heart that is...Unrelenting and also loving as one can be.

   [Exit Narrator]

                                           Fin.

(4:33)                     Thank you Beats Antique,

(4:36)                     for giving me

(4:38)                     a way to finally see

(4:41)                     what things really do mean

(4:44)                     with extreme clarity

(4:46)                     and hopes to forsee...
